Just finished it and I loved it. Cried at the end but that was expected. I know that with all my animals I am brokenhearted when one leaves me. But I also know I wouldn't trade the good times in order to miss out on the bad.
This book was a surprise, never read any of Koontz. Like the insight into the relationship of Trixie and he. I have always believed they are not JUST animals. To much has occured with my critters to say they are only animals. To grieve the lose of a friend, companion and kid with fur is natural. The gift of peeing into their world is priceless.
