Thank you so much for this wishlist book! I just love the Mma Ramotswe series of books! Always makes me smile! And drinking rooibos tea while reading is almost mandatory:D

Like all the other Mma Ramotswe books, I loved this one too! I don't really know how to explain why I liked it but the good things you don't have to explain, it is a known fact, might even be in the Clovis Andersen book:D

As the winner of a recent RABCK I received a whole pile of Mma Ramotswe books (yippee!) and I decided to start with this one because I want to pass it on to another bookcrosser at tonight's local BC meeting :) I hope you'll enjoy as much as I did!

Caught in Joensuu, from a BC mini meeting :)
I love the series...

Journal Entry 6 by aetm at Austin, Texas USA on Wednesday, April 27, 2011
I love the series (known fact, and I too would love to eventually run to that Anderson book...) but like with other of my favorite book series, I don't dare to read all books at once, but rather enjoy one, then read a bunch of other books, then another... I would hate to run out of these. :o
Precious is just such a happy read (odd way to describe a mystery, isn't it?) for either when you need some happy reads to cheer you up, or when you... just need something happy, light, and bubbly. Or like bush tea.

This time Mmas Ramotswe and Makutsi try to resolve a number of mysteries from deaths in a specific hospital bed to a cheating husband. And as always, I love the characters and their timeless wisdoms, and the descriptions of places and everything in Botswana. (I'm curious about the food there, so I'll try to remember to watch the new Bizarre Foods next Tuesday, when Zimmern visits Kalahari).

Safe journey little book - I hope you'll make many new friends on your travels!

"Don't ever apologize to an author for buying something in paperback, or taking it out from a library (that's what they're there for. Use your library). Don't apologize to this author for buying books second hand, or getting them from bookcrossing or borrowing a friend's copy. What's important to me is that people read the books and enjoy them, and that, at some point in there, the book was bought by someone. And that people who like things, tell other people. The most important thing is that people read... "
