I really loved this book when I first read it (after seeing the wonderful film), so when I spotted this copy in my local charity shop, I grabbed it thinking that someone on bookcrossing would appreciate it. And then a film virtual bookbox started, so I thought this would be perfect.

Also, thanks for the postcard of Criccieth. My husband is always going on about his childhood holidays there, and the best icecream ever, is from a shop there.

Once I had started this book I found myself not wanting to put it down and finished it the day after I started it. I am amazed by the reaction of Michele when he first discovered what he did; to go home act so normally. It was not really acting, it was as if it really was not on his mind all the time, at least not at first. There is a bit of the innocence of a child there. I think that he had a lot of courage to do what he did in the end as it must have been difficult for as he must have known he would be jeporadising his own world to do the right thing.

I am going on holiday to the Netherlands next month and will release the book somewhere during my travels.

When walking along the road parallel to the Binnenhaven canal I spotted an honour box of books on someones doorstep being sold for €1 each. I dropped this book in as I figured that there would then be a better chance of it finding a new owner than if left on a bench somewhere.
