What a wonderful surprise RABCK I came home to today! Thanks so much for all these wonderful books from my wishlist, Waterfalling. Someone on BC recommended this one to me last year. I love memoirs, and am looking forward to reading this one.

You should have seen the look on my hubby's face tonight. I got home from work, asked him what was in the box sitting in the chair (which he'd kindly already opened for me :) and he just gave me "that look." You know, the one that says, "What else could it be? Books, of course." Many thanks, again, for the nice surprise :)

8 out of 10

A very well-done memoir. I enjoyed this - it helped me understand the Mideast conflict better. World events and current affairs are not my strong suit; I tire quickly of hearing all the bad news repeated ad nauseum on our national new programs. Therefore, knowledge of the background of the age-old struggles in the Mideast is something I'm strongly lacking.

My favorite portions of this book were about their family life and Queen Noor's humanitarian work. I thought the beginning part of the book moved a bit slower, but I think that was just me. There was quite a bit of background info there about the Mideast conflicts, that added a lot to this book and was necessary for a better understanding.

This will travelling the world soon as a prize from my 8th BCversary TBR RABCK. Thanks again, Waterfalling!
