"Thea is a slave girl from Judaea, passionate, musical, and guarded. Purchased as a toy for the spiteful heiress Lepida Pollia, Thea will become her mistress's rival for the love of Arius the Barbarian, Rome's newest and most savage gladiator. His love brings Thea the first happiness of her life-that is quickly ended when a jealous Lepida tears them apart." (Amazone Ed.) And so the story unrolls... Edit, April 17, 2009:It's a fascinating epic historical novel; at times rather bloodthirsty, but also grippind with intrigue. A nice and entertaining read. I'm making a bookray with this one. Oooh I enjoyed this one! The following review contains spoilers so don't read it if you don't want to know what happens. A good story, gory in parts, but very entertaining with nasty baddies you can hate and cheer when they get their comeuppance and a happy ending for the goodies. I can see Hollywood being interested in this and making a blockbuster out of it.
