This is a second copy . I gave the first one to another Bookcrosser and then realized I had wanted to read it myself since I'm very much an Emily Carr fan.
Bought through Amazon marketplace.

Amazon Editorial Review:
Completed just before just before her death in 1945, Growing Pains is Emily Carr's carefully-crafted portrait of an artist: her girlhood in Victoria, B.C.; her training as a painter; the initial rejection and eventual acceptance of her painting by the Canadian people. This autobiographical collection is invaluable for revealing the face she wanted to show the world and the rich texture of her life.

I thouroughly enjoyed this book and it gave me a good idea of a woman who was way ahead of the time.

Your box made it safely here, and I will be journaling a few at a time until they all get logged into the site. This book will be read and most likely wild released in the fine arts center at my University as I have a fondness for Emily Carr's works and would love to know more about her life.

I very much enjoyed this look into an artists life. Emily Carr is one of the painters I discovered in my early twenties through an art appreciation class. I can see how her work was very ahead of it's time when first painted and I very much enjoyed "seeing" how her life influenced her work as told through her own words.

Released 11 yrs ago (10/15/2012 UTC) at Northeastern Illinois University (details in notes) in Chicago, Illinois USA

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I had planned on leaving this in the fine arts building near the painting studio, but there really isn't a good place to leave this there. It will instead be left on the shelves beneath the official Greek council bulletin board in the lower level hallway between the E building and LWH.
