From 4th cover :
"In the beginning was the Word.
And the Word was : 'Hey, you !'
For Brutha the novice is the Chosen One. He wants peace and justice and brotherly love.
He also wants the Inquisition to stop torturing him now, please..."

On its way to Atenea-Nike...

Journal Entry 3 by Atenea-Nike on Thursday, July 17, 2003
Just came home from a lovely holiday to find this book waiting patiently for me. I will read it as soon as I finish the short story from "The bridegroom", by Ha Jin, that I'm currently reading, and "Me Talk Pretty One Day ", by David Sedaris, which is part of a bookring.
Thank you, Rozenn! I'm sure I'll enjoy it a lot.

I giggled all the way through the book :) It's a very amusing account of what religions are and what they do to people - and to themselves. Despite the fact that the book's a comedy it also poses certain interesting questions. Very very amusing.

Just got Pratchett's book from the post office. :) I'm going to start reading it right away (as soon as I finish Michael Moore's Stupid White Men).

Considerations:
1) "Yous books want to fly. Give them wings at Bookcrossing". This was written by Atenea-Nike on the envelope, below the sender. I couldn't agree most. Besides, that giving-wings think is quite Frank-Caprish, isn't it? :)
2) I found it almost impossible to unwrap the envelope. Jeez. Of course I got the book safe!
3) I'm longing to read the book. Have heard so much about the author... Thank you Atenea, for sharing it.

He pasado unos días estupendos con Small Gods.

OOPS. I just realized it's an international bookray and people might not be able to read Spanish, so here's the translation (well, sort of):

I didn't have a good loud laugh, but I smiled all the way through, until the last page. This book glues your hands to it and you simply can't put it down! Pratchett's sense of humor is terrific and he manages to use the right dosage of sarcasm and irony. I enjoyed every of the last days I spent reading Small Gods. I think it's perfect for getting introduced to Terrypratchettism, given that this title doesn't belong to any series in the Discworld Novels. And what a lark, what a plunge (quoting Virginia) to know there are a zillion (well, maybe not that many) Pratchett Discworld titles!

Thank you so much, Atenea, for starting this bookring. Soon the book will fly away to Portugal.

Mailed to Amostrinha today. I'm really sorry to have kept it for so long.

I didn't finish reading this book. I enjoy Terry Pratchett's books but I think we need to be in the right mood to read them. Unfortunately I wasn't inspired while I had this book in my possession, I only got through about half way before starting something else. Hopefully I'll come across this title again and enjoy it then.

Just received it from the mail. Won't make no promises as to how fast I'll read it. Specially since it's been Christmas and there where some books coming in ;)
