Thank you for the Happy Day RABCK. You are generous to send me two books. This book looks interesting. I am looking forward to reading it.
Read the book yesterday. I learned some things about the Stanley expedition. It had to have been extremely hard to travel at that time.
Enjoy! For KTM and RABCK challenges to tabby-cat-owner. Glad this book has found another BCer to read it.
Received this book in the mail from booklady331 of Cape Coral, Florida.

A beautiful written book. It was easy to visualize the images created by the author. However, the story itself was painful to read. Stanley's travels into the interior of Africa in the nineteenth century must have been uncomfortable, to say the least. The story is told from the perspective of John Shaw, a white man who very reluctantly accompanies Stanley on this journey. John Shaw appeares to be on the brink of insanity.

Received the book over the weekend. Thanks so much for sharing it. It looks very interesting and something right up my ally as I love historical fiction. Thanks, also, for the postcard from your home state. I have started a postcard collection since becoming a BCer and this will go right in its pages. :-)
