This was a difficult book to read, but I think it accomplished its purpose. The reader is left with the horror of this murder and the frustration that no one has been charged with this killing yet. After reading this book, Alex WILL be remembered. The picture of small town Saskatchewan life in that time and the lack of oppotunities open to young women to leave, were portrayed very well.
