I had a lot of mixed reports on this, some people though it was ok, others absolutely LOATHED it! So I was intrigued (if a little skeptical) when we came to read it for book club. Overall, though, I thought it was ok. I probably liked Italy and 'Eat' best - partly because I've spent time in Rome, but also, you know, cos it's about FOOD. 'Pray and 'Love' were less interesting to me, though I found Gilbert to be an engaging writer and these sections were easy to read. Overall, I doubt this has changed my life but neither did I find it arduous or unbelievable.
I'll be taking it to the Perth BC Meetup this morning, where I'm hoping celestewa won't rip it from cover to cover! :-) (she really didn't like it :-)
