I enjoyed this as I also read Virginia Woolf's 'Mrs Dalloway' at the same time. Very well done.
I really enjoyed this too and mostly I think because of its links to 'Mrs Dalloway', which I read earlier this year. Michael Cunningham's writing here has the same cinematic quality that Virginia Woolf used (and indeed invented!) for 'Mrs Dalloway', while there are significant links in the plots of the two books. I saw the film of 'The Hours' years ago (actually with my grandmother just before leaving Aus to go live in the UK!) and had always wanted to read both 'The hours' and 'Mrs Dalloway' since then. It's taken me about 7 years to get there, but it has been a very worthwhile experience now that I have!
L1nda has requested this from the VBBOz so I'm packing it up tonight to send!!
Arrived safe and sound, thanks!
