Synopsis: Flirting was never so deadly.
A disbelieving Jack Eisley meets an attractive blonde who stuns him with the news that she has just poisoned his drink ---- and that, oh by the way, if he wants the antidote, he'd better stay close ... because if she doesn't have someone within spitting distance 24/7 she'll die.
Turns out this spunky blonde is infected with fast-replicating, highly infectious nanomachines that will attack her brain if they don't register the presence of another human being with 10 feet of her.
Now what?!?!?
My quick take: Two-hundred-fifteen quick pages of non-stop, action-packed storytelling. Over the top at times, in a good way ... like one of those thrills-a-minute, out-of-the-fire-into-the-frying-pan scenes in an Indiana Jones movie ... and even if that's not your thing, man oh man, you certainly can't say it's not endlessly entertaining, with a big fat capital 'E.'
Nice twisty ending with an unexpected, smile-inducing poignant moment.
This is my first Swierczynski novel. Won't be my last. Great fun.
