This is peculiar. I read this book very recently - but didn't journal it - and fogot about it. Then I bought a new copy (secondhand for only 1.50€) because I like rescuing English books from flea markets here in Turku (the European Capital of Culture) ... but realised I'd read it ... only now I can't find the book anymore, and as I said never got around to journalling it. As I said very peculiar. Anyway I liked this novel. I think Kate Morton crafted it very well. There was good depth to the characters, but the plot itself was very disturbing! I liked it that the story spanned two continents - both of which I love - and while some of the connections were a bit contrived (this is fiction afterall) overall I think it was a really good read. Hoping that a friend has simply 'borrowed this' but for now I'll mark it as RES (though I wish there was a category AWOL!) BTW: The moniker 'authoress' is wonderful though isn't it?
