The book is with me! I'm getting to it asap.

I find this book difficult to comment, but I really liked it. It took a couple of pages to get in to the language, but then I was happy to read the book in its original language English, since language was an essential thing in the book.
I thought that this book was autobiographical, but turns out it's fiction. However, Sapphire has apparently used some real things that she has heard in her teaching and social worker jobs. The story of Precious is a very hope-giving one, the way she raises above her awful experiences, never gives up, and always cherishes even the tiniest good things in her life.

I really struggled with this book. I found it hard to follow some of what she was saying, and the bits where she was writing in her journal were giving me a headache. I'm so glad i didn't buy it! Thanks for sharing and I'll pass it on to the next reader in the next week or two.
