A dark, chillying read that explores themes of jealousy, revenge, betrayal and blackmail.

And I picked the book up at the Community Centre just before the show!

I thought the book was quite boring to start with, but that changed when I realised what was actually going to happen!

I will release the book in the ladies' room at Farr Hall before the Altan concert tonight....

Caught in the ladies at Farr Hall - very excited as I had read about bookcrossing but always thoiught I led tooo ruarl a life to come across one! We were organising a clean up of Strthnairn for World Environment Day and sadly hardly anyone showed - but the flip side was that I could start to read Amsterdam. Am already plotting where I could release it! Thanks for cheering up my day.

I picked it up in the Birnam Institute, a community centre in Scotland. Next it will be going to a friend here in the States, who has promised to pass it on.
I liked the twists at the end, and the sly way the characters' true natures were gradually revealed without being actually spelled out for me. A good read.

The book was an inmate of a free library here in Santa Cruz. I'll read it (I'm on page 62 at the moment) and pass it along. The writing is outstanding.
