I feel like Alexander McCall Smith has done it again. I thoroughly loved this book and it followed in his fine tradition of providing readers the literary equivalent of a glass of red wine at the end of the day. I read it during a challenging period in my life when my grandmother was very ill and my best friend's husband had died. It was soothing and enjoyable and I only wished that it had been ten times longer so i could have continued benefiting from its comfort.
