Part of the surprise windfall I received.
I enjoyed the movie, so it was nice to read the book that inspired it. Now that I'm done with it, I'll try to find a new home for Madame Doubtfire.
Here's another copy on my BookCrossing shelf.

Mailed 5/27/10 - sent off as part of collectorkerri's First Sentences Virtual Bookbox. Happy reading!
Thanks for sending this my way, alone with the stickers and stamps on the envelope.
I loved this film...don't think I will be able to read it without hearing the voice of Robin Williams in my head.

Much more serious than the film, and I do not know how anyone could be fooled by her ex-husband wrapping her turban around his head. I think that the film adaptation was a very good one; both really captured the agony of a divorce and the kids being caught in the middle of parents at war. I now want to watch the film again.
Maybe it was because I was reading the American version, but it was strange reading a story that was about an English family and set in England having so many American words and phrases.
I am going on holiday in the Netherlands next month and will take the book along to release there.
