Subtitled :Amazing Adventures of an Ordinary Woman.

From the cover: This one's for you, extraordinary women everywhere! It's time for seriously hilarious girl-talk with New York Times bestselling author Lisa Scottoline. She's shared this collection of scenes from her real life, and she bets it sounds a lot like yours..if you crave carbs, can't find jeans that fit, and still believe that these two things are unrelated. PIck up this book--you'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll swear off pantyhose....Inside you'll find Lisa's thoughts on:
Being braless in the emergency room
A man's most important body part
Interrupting as a sign of enthusiasm
And so much more about life, love, fmaily, pets and murderous toasters

I loved this book! More than once it had me laughing so hard I had to wipe tears from my eyes. After reading it over Christmas 2009 I knew it had to be made into a book ray. Too many of us women get caught into the everyday rut of work, family etc and we all deserve a good laugh...or a dozen good laughs!

Rules for the ray:

Please journal the book once it has been received and please pm the next person in line for their address.

Please try to read it within a month and then pass it along on it's journey. I understand life gets in the way (boy do I inderstand!). If you cannot read it within a month or if you need to be skipped please pm me. No need for details, just keep me updated.

Once you have finished reading please journal the book and let us know what you thought of it. After that please forward the book to the next participant using the best post office rate for you. I know money is tight for most of us now, media mail and economy rate are fine.

The last reader may do with the book as they see fit, keep it, pass it on, wild release etc.

Most importantly...please enjoy this book!

Just one note...I do not keep close tabs on my rings/rays. I trust that everyone who has signed up is mature enough to hold up to their commitments. If you cannot, please let me know. Also, if you need to be bumped down a bit let me know. Others may join at any time and I will try to accomodate shipping preferences.

Well, I'm so very, very ashamed of myself :-( I finished this book months ago, packed it up ready to post then totally forgot about it as it got mixed up with a pile of other envelopes, magazines etc.

I'm so sorry, oi-reader and everyone else following me in the ray. I've just requested pigsmayfly's address and the book will be on its way as soon as I get it.

Posted to pigsmayfly yesterday.

It went into the mail with a prayer in memory of oi-reader, who passed away so young last week. RIP, my dear, and know that you'll be sadly missed.

Well, may I begin by saying how very sorry I am to hear that oi-reader, who started this book ring, has passed away and I'm sure everyone in the ring who gets this book will be sorry to miss out on thanking its originator.

Thanks for forwarding this book on WelshHelen. I'm halfway through it and its very good - a little like a girlie version of Jeremy Clarksons writings. Scottolines observations are honest and humerous - and I would like to say that her New Year unresolutions are exactly what I would have had, which I found a little scary.

Will finish the book shortly, I'm sure and then will forward it on.

Arrived safely just a few moments ago! I thought after its long journey across the pond, that I should JE it immediately and start reading. I can't wait. She is one of my favorite authors and I'm looking forward to reading her humorous side. (I have heard that her in-store book readings/signings are very entertaining as well.)

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

I enjoyed this so much, I cannot believe how fast I went through it. I laughed out loud so many times that I'm really glad I was home alone. Otherwise, I'd be getting weird looks from strangers. She is that funny. I laughed because so much of this book could have been written by me (or any other woman for that matter). There is something for every woman in this book. I daresay that there is insight for any man that reads it as well.

Thank you, Scottoline, for putting yourself out there girl. Because you are not alone! I feel the same way about fish pedis, my cracked feet and pinky toe, my faux-Spanx, underwires and my hair cutting schedule (just to name a few).

Thank you, oi-reader, for sharing this book with me. It will be moving along to collectorkerri [hopefully] today. I say hopefully because I also have the same PO problem. I arrive, they lock the door. lol. ;P

Found this book extremely entertaining and easy to read in small chunks. I look forward to reading more from this author; I guess she has a new collection of her essays/newspaper columns out now.

I also was sad to hear of oi-reader's passing. She was to be the recipient of my Secret Santa gift last year, so it was a shock to find out she was gone.

I sent the book to easterngirl71 yesterday.

I loved this book! What a funny collection of stories. I'd love to read her column more often. Thank you Oi-reader for sharing. I was very sad to hear you are gone too soon. :-(

I have contacted the next reader mum-to-two three times with no answer. I will hold on to it a little longer and then find a good place for this book to continue its journey.
