Taking on holiday to read and release. I'll update with journal entry with my review when I return.

Update: I liked the two stories and how they were interwoven with history, but did not really like the character of Ella. Overall I enjoyed this book, but was a bit distracted by the fable-like aspects of the story, eg the hair changing colour, shared dreams, and wolves. To me, these did not add to the story.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

To be released somewhere in the town or the beach during my holiday (assuming I finish it on the plane or during my holiday).

Edited to update the release notes: Left on a rock at the Cucharas Beach in Costa Teguise. I took an early morning dip in the ocean here every morning of our holiday. A wonderful start to the day.

The perfect start to the day - each morning for 10 days

Edited again to say I didn't actually release this on the date given above, but only got around to leaving it on Thursday 20th before our flight home.

Picked up on Cucharas beach - 21st January 2011. Either been there a week or been re-released. An interesting book which held our (Janet and Philip) attention to the end. We both felt that we needed to know more about the characters and their motivations especially the 16th Century portions.

Janet was particularly annoyed with the character of Ella the American female protagonist in the 20th Century!

An interesting 'holiday' type read covering a period in history not often written about. I found the ending unsatisfactory and left a feeling that the historical story had been made up by the modern day character rather than the author's narative.
