From Amazon:
"Anne Latham didn't know how complicated life could be until she became a werewolf. And until she was mated to Charles Cornick, the son--and enforcer--of Bran, the leader of the North American werewolves, she didn't know how dangerous it could be either...
Anna and Charles have just been enlisted to attend a summit to present Bran's controversial proposition: that the wolves should finally reveal themselves to humans. But the most feared Alpha in Europe is dead set against the plan--and it seems like someone else might be, too. When Anna is attacked by vampires using pack magic, the kind of power only werewolves should be able to draw on, Charles and Anna must combine their talents to hunt down whoever is behind it all--or risk losing everything..."
Great fun, loved it! Maybe even more than the first one in this new series by Patricia Briggs.

Arrived today. Adding to Mt TBR.
I love, love, love the characters in this book.Charles has locked up all human emotion for so long so it would not interfere with the things he had to do (such as enforcing his father's policies, usually by killing the offenders). Once Anna enters his life, all those emotions come flooding back in, and he doesn't have the tools to deal with them. When he tries to deal with this by "putting a wall up", he also shuts Anna out. When he opens up and lets Anna in, he's left vulnerable and feels that he isn't able to protect her, but he soon learns that she does not need protecting - finds strength in his vulnerability. On the other hand, Anna, who once thought of herself as a weak, submissive wolf, finally finds her inner strength and proves to be a true Omega - one who protects without the need for violence. She and Charles balance each other - he gives her the strength to accomplish things she never dreamed of, and she brings calm to his life.
If I had read this book before I offered it on the VBB it would be going into my PC, instead it is on the way to the next lucky reader.
