WILD RELEASE NOTES:

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Hi there!

If this is your introduction to Bookcrossing, welcome, and congratulations on finding this book! Enjoy reading the book, and I hope you will let us know what you thought - as few or as many comments as you wish. It is now yours to do with as you wish - keep it, pass it on, but please leave the label, so it can keep in touch with us. If you would like to know what happens to the book after it has left you, then do join - it's private and it's fun!

This book is relased on behalf of team 'de zwarte rotsen' as part of the Dutch Bookcrossing Monopoly Game for the assignment of week 16: sea heroes/heroines.

Ian McEwan's Amsterdam is released on a ship with the same name (clipper Stad Amsterdam), in the harbour in Melbourne (until the 26th, then on its way to Adelaide and Perth). De ship is currently on a trip around the world, following the same travelling route as Darwin once followed on the Beagle. Next to the crew, the ship hosts artists, journalists and writers, scientists, and other sea heroes whose adventures and discoveries can be followed here: http://beagle.vpro.nl/, and are weekly broadcasted on Dutch and Belgian tv ("Beagle - in het kielzog van Darwin").

I do hope all people on board of the Stad Amsterdam (even though they are more 'heroes and heroines on sea' rather than 'sea heroes and heroines') will read, enjoy (and journal! You would all help our team earning points by journalling the book, especially in different countries) this book. Keep up the good work, and save travels!
