This was a very interesting book. I thought it was really nice how Annie Hawes talked a lot about the cultural differences she ran into, as well as similarities between Moroccan/Algerian culture and the things she knows from her home in Italy. It paints a very interesting picture of Morocco and Algeria as a country to travel in, but it's not just a travel book, it also talks a lot about the history of colonization and cultural differences. Very good read!
