Michael Palin is one of my favorite travel writers, and I love his style of mixing a lot of "serious" information with a subtle sense of humor. Eastern Europe has always been fascinating to me and I've travelled there myself a few times, so it was really interesting to read Palin's take on things, and to see things from his perspective.
