BOOK DESCRIPTION:
"Marnie Maitland returns to the South Carolina Lowcountry after years of self-imposed exile. As children, she and her sister, Diana, were deeply damaged when their mother took them sailing in a storm and drowned.
Now Diana’s son is left mute after an eerily similar accident. Marnie, a special-needs teacher, has come to help her nephew recover. Faced with the evidence that her sister has inherited their mother’s self-destructive illness, Marnie is forced to remember that terrifying night and to reconcile the rift their mother created." (Description from Amazon.com.)

Received today--thanks so much Germanophile. I hope I have better luck with it than you did. It will join the TBR pile until I can get to it. 300 thank you's from 300dogs!
I began reading this book last month as part of Plum-crazy's "Can't Decide What to Read in March?" thread. The theme was the four elements--fire, water, Earth and air. This was obviously a perfect match.
I thought the book was ok, still glad to have read it. Thank you again to Germanophile for the trade. I noticed there are many BC'ers who have this on their wishlist, I hope to send it out as a RABCK.
