I read this one some time back, so I won't take this copy, but I thought I'd add my comments. It's clearly meant to be tongue-in-cheek - or outright cheeky! - and while it is a bit dated in places I found it amusing. And the lavish pretty-boy sketches that illustrate the book are a lot of fun, whether the guys are being bitchy or studly - or both... And I liked the section on different types of squeals (getting a fabulous gift vs. spotting a roach - alas, no "fangirl squee", though.

The lists of "gay-fave" books, movies, TV shows, etc. in the back of the book were entertaining, though as the book came out in 2002 it doesn't include more recent shows like Project Runway - and doesn't mention "gay-fave" web sites at all, so I'll suggest Project Rungay with Tom and Lorenzo (check out their "Musical Monday" columns if you aren't into the fashionista ones) and, for needlework fans (gay or otherwise), The Panopticon.

This arrived home in my LGBT Bookbox. Thanks! Oh, I am totally going to devour this one. It looks pretty silly but kind of irresistible as well.
