Read by Ron Rifkin. Couldn't pass this up when I saw it at the Indiana Free Library used book sale in Indiana, Pa.
I loved this book even more the second time around, especially now that I know there are two companion books—Gathering Blue and Messenger—that clear up what really happened at the end of The Giver. You can read my thoughts on this book as a first-time reader here. This was well worth the 10¢ I spent in support of the Indiana Free Library.
