Chosen from bookstogive's paperback mystery/suspense/thriller book box. It was hard choosing; there were so many good books, but picked this one and three others. Thanks to those who placed the books in the box, and to bookstogive for starting it. I chose books from authors that I haven't read.
I sent this to bookstogive because it was on her wishlist...thought it was time I read it before sending it on once more.

A cozy mystery with lots of laughs because of the language choices ("an egg short of an Easter basket" for example), quirky characters, and of course, a murder to go along with the other mayhem. Abigail hunts for the treasure while trying to solve the murder of the family maid. This is the first time reading this author, but will read more of hers in the future.
Sending via the U.S post office as part of a package for a birthday recipient. It's a little early, but should extend your birthday for a few extra weeks; wishing you a happy birthday.
Thank you for this birthday surprise, minesayn! It looks like a great read - Tamar Myers is so funny! It's extra special that so many have read it before me; I love books with lots of journals.
Quick read, with some laughs. This is the first I've read in this Den of Antiquity series, and it was quite enjoyable, though I think I prefer Myers' Penn Dutch books, at least so far.
Abigail Timberlake returns home from vacation to find that her shop, The Den of Antiquity has been burgled and there's not a single thing left. As it turns out that she has no insurance (because her daughter forgot to pay the bill), she accepts an invitation from a man she met on the plane to visit his family and appraise an item for them.
Abby's best friend, CJ, accompanies her. CJ is an interesting character, although the numerous references to her lack of intellectual skills can get annoying. When she, for some reason, confesses to the murder of the family's maid, Abby has to swing into action to clear her name.
I'll look for the earlier ones in the series. Thanks for sharing this, all previous BCers!
