An 18 year old girl who has spent her life in Australia returns to her mother's home town New York after her mother dies. She has 300 Dollars and no life experience to speak of. Soon she stumbles across a second hand book store where she finds work. Her colleagues are a bunch of weirdos who seem to be entangled in some secret book dealings.

Hm, I don't really know what to make of this book. I couldn't quite warm to it but I couldn't put it down either. Some bizarre figures and a very dramatic finish... Not a bad read at all!

hmmm... I'm sorry to say but I have given up on this one..
I really tried but after a while I asked myself why I didn't enjoy reading..
which made me realize that I didn't get into the story..

I'm so sorry - I completely forgot about this book. Back in August, I tried getting into the story several times but it just wasn't my cup of tea and then the book sat unnoticed on my bookshelf for quite a few weeks (and it didn't ever yell out to tell me it was bored and wanted to continue its journey!!).
It will now travel on to erinacea as soon as I get her address.

This book was so boring (and weird) that I had to give up. I couldn't stand any of the characters nor the bookstore surroundings. Just not my cup of tea.
