Thank you so much for this book, lauraloo29! I love the BCID sticker in the front.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I liked Berendt's depictions of the people of Venice, particularly the Rat Man of Treviso and Mario Moro, who wears different uniforms. The burning and rebuilding of the Fenice Theater was fascinating, as were the multiple layers of doing business (and especially construction!) in Venice. I would love so much to see Archimede Seguso's masterpiece glass pieces that chronicle the Fenice fire.
I will do my best to release this book so that it has future journal entries.

"Everyone plays a role, and the role changes. The key to understanding Venetians is rhythm--the rhythm of the lagoon, the rhythm of the water, the tides, the waves...."
