I enjoyed reading about this author's life as she was a favourite of mine in my younger days. There was a strong Christian theme through out the book but that was understandable considering her father's profession. She lived in Wells, Ely, Oxford, Cotswold and Devon and it helped that I had visited some of these places. I named my older son after a character in one of her books.
