This is an enjoyable book about a law professor, the effect his father has had on his life and some of the moral and ethical choices he has to make about a mysterious inheritance. I don't want to say any more without spoiling the book, so I'll just say I enjoyed it and leave it at that.

Thanks puppymummy, ‘The Summons’ has arrived safely – and it sounds even better than I was expecting. I can’t wait to start it!

Well, I have finished 'The Summons', but I'm not quite sure what to make of it! It was an enjoyable read, which kept me intrigued throughout, but I was a bit disappointed with the end. I also don't want to say too much in case it spoils it for anyone else :-)

Oh goody, I just finished a great book and was looking on my shelf for something else to read...and today I get the summons. I can hardly wait to start reading it tomorrow.

I just finished this book today. I was disappointed in this book, and John Grisham did not pull me in too well with the character of Ray or Forrest. I felt that he dragged out the mystery too long, some of the suspense could have been narrowed down to one chapter and not five. Oh well, I guess this author cannot have the best books all the time...I will still read his other works.
