From the back cover:

Insatiable desire. Endless seduction. One touch is just the beginning.

He watches her from across the crowded dance club, a sensual black-haired stranger who stirs Gabrielle Maxwell's deepest fantasies. But nothing about this night-or this man-is what it seems. For when Gabrielle witnesses a murder outside the club, reality shifts into something dark and deadly. In that shattering instant she is thrust into a realm she never knew existed--a realm where vampires stalk the shadows and a blood war is set to ignite.

Lucan Thorne despises the violence carried out by his lawless brethren. A vampire himself, Luncan is a Breed warrior, sworn to portect his kind--and the unwitting humans existing alongside them--from the mounting threat of the Rogues. Lucan cannot risk binding himself to a mortal woman, but when Gabrielle is targeted by his enemies, he has no choice but to bring her into the dark underworld he commands.

Here in the arms of the Breed's formidable leader, Gabrielle will confront an extraordinary destiny of danger, seduction, and the darkest pleasure of all....

I loved this whole series of books, so I've decided to share them with sfogs. I hope you enjoy this series too! :)

This bookbox spiral arrived today... I've gotten into book one. And I'll keep the whole series until I finish them and then ship them off to the next person as one whole parcel instead of one by one; it'll be easier for me. Also, seeing I knocked off around 30 pages in one 45 minutes sitting, I think these books will be very delicious to read!

Thank you for including me Sfogs; and thank you for the birthday card. It's on the piano with the other two! :)

Thank you so much for including me in this spiral! I thought they'd take me a long time to get through; but incredibly, I found that this book took a week to zip through and I immediately began the next! :[

Lucan's a babe!

This was a fun read, I liked it a lot. A bit different from the other vampire books.. with only males being vampires, and bloodlust is an interesting idea. Gabrielle is quite a strong heroine which I like, and Lucan is great too :)
Looking forward to see how it continues...

Will be sending the book to vampirequeen in a day or 2.

Soo sorry about the lateness of journalling this! Got it a couple of weeks ago just as I moved back home, so then I unpacked on top of it, and was on holiday with no internets last week.

It is now back from under all my unpacking and is only behind one other bookring I've got, so I shall get to it ASAP.

Sorry again.

Journal Entry 24 by vampirequeen at Coventry, West Midlands United Kingdom on Friday, August 26, 2011
Oh I just can't get into this at all, which is odd as it's certainly my kinda book! Instead of stalling the 2 I have I shall send them on for someone else to enjoy.

PMing Jonniboi now. Hope to have them sent off by the end of next week.

Journal Entry 25 by JonniC at Birmingham, West Midlands United Kingdom on Saturday, September 3, 2011
I had totally forgotten abou these, I can't wait to read, but they've all come together at once, yet again so it may take a while :)

Journal Entry 26 by JonniC at Birmingham, West Midlands United Kingdom on Tuesday, September 27, 2011
just finised this book, sorry it took so long, there were a number of books before this one, andI'm happy I actually got around to finishing itwithin a month, I am currently starting "Kiss of Crimson" and as soon as I finish that one I'll send them both off in the next couple of weeks.

I'm not quite sure what t think of about this book, at the start I was keen to give this book 4 stars, purely because it failed to grip me and seemed very much similar to other books I've read such as the books by J.R. Ward. The more I got into it the better it got and although it seemed sluggish at times I felt my reading pace quicken, so I ended up enjoying the book the closer I got to the end, and surprised myself as I never thought I'd end up enjoying it since I started it.

I liked many parts of the book and it was pretty interesting here and there and it was quite a shocker to find out who the betrayer was, I also like the idea of the teardrop into a cresent moon birthmark, I bet everyone's idea of what that should look like would be different to oe another's perception, and the ending was really heart-renchingly gripping, and makes me anxious the read the next book, I can't wait.
