I've been wanting to get my hands on this one for a while. In a remote village in Burma famous for its "giraffe necked" women, a young boy is forced into exile in the jungle by gorilla militants. When he meets a London doctor by chance, his entire world is changed, as they begin to exchange letters that eventually lead to our main character getting the chance to go to University at Cambridge.

This was a great read. Really moving, and a genuine view of a refugee from Burma, who on a chance encounter with a professor, gets to move to England and attend Cambridge Uni. Really vivid images of the time he spent fighting for the rebel army and what it was like growing up in Burma at the time. It's such a shame that the militaristic dictatorship is still ruling the country.

I'm really looking forward to reading this. Thanks for sending this along! It arrived while I was in Ethiopia.
