Journal Entry 1 by wickedlazy from Wickford, Essex United Kingdom on Sunday, November 29, 2009
This is an uncorrected Proof copy The Blurb WAS THE 2003 SARS OUTBREAK A WARNING OF DEADLY EPIDEMICS TO COME? Acclaimed author and journalist Karl Taro Greenfeld was at the scene when the disease was discovered. His taut, thriller-like account tells the compelling story of a lethal microbe that learnt to jump between species - from animal to human - with brutal efficiency, killing a large number of it's victims and terrifying millions around the world. China Syndrome takes us on a gripping ride from the bedside of one of the first Chinese victims, via cutting-edge labs where the researchers race to indentify the new illness, to conference rooms at the World Health Organisation as officials desperately try to determine the true extent of the epidemic - despite a scandalous cover-up by the Chinese Government.

Journal Entry 8 by silvia-pco from Murtosa, Aveiro Portugal on Friday, March 26, 2010
A very good book. Not so easy to read, as mafarrimond pointed out, but extremely interesting. This being a kind of report on the development of a new disease outbreak, one might tought it could get boring at times. However, Greenfeld manages to "tell the tale" of this disease in an entertaining way. I'll wait for wickedlazy's instructions and then we'll see where this book will travel to next!
