Hmmm... it looks like I never journalled this book (!!)
I'm a bit ashamed to admit that I think that, up until now, my entire knowledge of the French Revolution has been gleaned from the Scarlett Pimpernel ( and perhaps 'A Tale of Two Cities', though I don't remember much about that book). Marge Piercy's book of a beautiful study of the French Revolution, and highlights the roles of key men and women in the period. It's a very absorbing read, and I really enjoyed it ( though I will admit that it is pretty long!! :-)
tantan has requested this from the VBBOz and I will try and post it within the next week.
