Heute von der Post abgeholt und gleich angefangen. Klingt bis jetzt echt gut! :-)
30.01.10: Ready!
What a great book! It's funny and wise. I loved it! I think the description of Sam's point of view is brilliant, especially when it comes to the communication with the adults. And this time thing is a really good idea.
I think everyone could learn a lot from this book!
Thanks a lot for the ring! :-)
The book will travel on to chawoso next Tuesday.

It will take a little while before i can start reading.

What a silly book. I learned a lot about young people and their own language. I think it´s the same as in German, but I am not so familiar with these idioms.

Bye Sam!
Bye Sam!
Received the book today, thanks, kiki1928! And also for the cool postcard you included :)
I really enjoyed the book! I started reading this morning on my way to work and I finished the book this afternoon, instead of doing homework...
It was an easy but at the same time very interesting read. I liked reading the story from Sam's perspective.
Thanks for this ring, tinajaxie, this makes me wanna re-read Hornby's other novels.

I feel ambivalent about this book... It starts great! I immediately got absorbed by the story and the language. The jumps into future, however, really annoyed me. I particulary like the characters in Hornby's other books - here I was rather disappointed. With the exception of Sam the characters remain strangely flat, it was hard for me to picture them.
Definitely not one of my favorite books, but still an entertaining read.
