This book enjoyed traveling with me to both Lake Blue Ridge in Georgia and to Orlando, FL. I finally was able to read it on the trip to Florida. Sue Margolis strikes again - excellent and funny read. While not as punny as some of her earlier novels have been, her wit is still evident and some sentences have to be read twice to get the almost hidden jokes. Great storyline, great humor - lots of fun!

Margolis is a fairly good writer, but the plot was unbelievably thin and the characterizations were...well, "lacking" is probably kind. It's a quick read though, and a good beach book in that it doesn't require much of your attention.

Fun chick-lit book - quick read. Not as good as some of the other books in this genre that I've read. Some of the incidents seemed a little contrived, but overall I enjoyed it. Definitely racier than some of the similar books I've read. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

This may not be a fair rating, because I haven't been a big chick lit reader in the past. I was hoping for a fun, light read after a difficult work week -- but I found myself bored throughout most of the book, which seemed contrived and heavy-handed (the cute meet, the first date, the sex scenes, the problems in the relationship which turn out to be easily resolved, etc.) Maybe I didn't really want cute and fluffy after all -- I felt like I had stuffed myself with cotton candy! Anyways, on to the next reader, who hopefully will forgive me for being such a curmudgeon.

This was an ok chick lit novel. I found it totally hilarious in some parts and really boring in others. Loved the romance storylines and the interplay between all of the people. Could have done without the whole wrinkle cream story though. It just made too many things all going on at once.
Will be sending along to the next person as soon as I can get out of my house--we have been iced in for four days.

The book is gone, but the ring lives on!
This copy of Apocalipstick got lost in the mail, but LaurieS has found another copy and started Phase 2 of the ring.
Hopefully this copy will find its way into the hands of someone who will resume its life as a BC book.
