Thank you so much, Beautifulhooker! :D
I'm excited to read this as I read that you loved it so much. I guess I'll have to keep a box of tissues at hand though...

Just finished this one last night. At first I thought it would be typical chicklit and didn't expect too much from it, but a fun read. And I guess it was chicklit, but I was pleasantly surprised by the characters and how their stories weren't superficial at all. I didn't cry, but I was moved.
Their reading group to me seems to be mostly a way for the author to get these women's lives interfeared with eachother. Though the way they think and speak about the books reveals a lot of their character and way of thinking too. The only thing that bugged me was that the parts of their bookdiscussions were full of spoilers about the books discussed. But I guess that's inevitable.
Really had a good time reading it, thanks again Redfox5! (you changed your name? now it almost seems offensive that I called you beautifulhooker in the former JE)

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
In de kast!
Just got this book at OBCZ Kaketoe. Saw it was left there by the 'go hunting' button. Wanted to read the book for a while, and wanted to make a first visit to a OBCZ, so there I go!
Can't wait to start reading, but have to finish another book first.
(edited this journal, because I first wrote it in Dutch..)

Overall, I liked the book.
Although it's not really my world, it's all about mothers and children and problems they encounter, I still had fun reading because it's nice written, with humor.
The beginning is a bit chaotic, because you are introduced to a lot of caracters in a real short term.
I also think the story is a bit to long. At about 3/4 of the book, I thought, please let it finish now, I've had enough of them..
But as said before, overall a nice book, which I read with pleasure.

Thanks, R'nee, I received the book today! Yes, it is a nice one. I know, for I have read it some years ago :-D. Sorry... (But you know, I read at least 100 books a year...)
I'm sure I will be able to surprise someone else with it. Thank you!!
Edit: In October 2012 my parents took this book to release it for me on their cruise from Hamburg to Helgoland and GB.
