I already read this book. It's a good one.

Book Review:
1/2 An unforgettable book about a dwarf child named Trudi Montag growing up in a small town in Germany during the war years. Living in those years was hard enough without being a dwarf. To add to her challenges, Trudi's mother went mad. Trudi learns that everyone has a secret that deserves our respect and compassion. A very good read.

2/2 This is an absolutely fascinating book as it weaves the story of one woman "zwerg" (dwarf) and her acceptance of herself, her town, and her country during the second world war in Germany. Her discovery of prejudice in all facets of life forces the reader to view and conduct their own lives. I couldn't put the book down and I constantly thought of the difficuly of "acceptance" in our society for those who have any sort of difference.
