Journal Entry 1 by indygo88 from Lafayette, Indiana USA on Friday, October 09, 2009
This is the journal that will accompany the Best of BC (#3) bookbox. By "Best of BC" I generally mean that the participants are some of BookCrossing's best (in my humble opinion, as this is a private invite box), but also that the books will, hopefully, be some of the best. There's no particular theme for the box -- just what you consider good, quality books or at least books that you think someone else will be interested in. No limitations on genre (other than the obvious no romance, travel guides, or other craziness, etc.). General courtesy guidelines apply, primarily being the following: please pass the box along in a timely manner, replace the box if necessary (writing the journal's BCID# somewhere inside the lid or somewhere visible), don't take out more books than you put in, and please make an online journal entry when you've received the box & again when you ship it off to the next person. If you've participated in boxes of mine before, you know that I usually like the arriving books to be surprises, so please DO NOT list the names of the books you're putting in or taking out here (although I would like you to do so in the journal that's enclosed in the box itself). Do feel free, however, to list the number of books you're exchanging in your journal entries here. Please send a PM my way if something comes up or you have a concern. Hopefully everyone can find at least a few books of interest. Mailing order: jnpert (KY) Bluestocking88 (WA) (asked to be skipped) JDT (CA) 300dogs (NJ) azuki (FL) taaza (WI) msjoanna (NY) mrsjones (OH) batty14 (NY) jenptcfan (AR) Guinneth (NH) ladybug74 (AL) *(please note change in mailing order) tomsmama (CA) sweetsangria (OR) time-traveler (NY) indygo88 (IN)

Journal Entry 2 by indygo88 from Lafayette, Indiana USA on Thursday, October 15, 2009
Took me longer than planned to get to the post office (the Monday holiday messed me up!), but the box is finally going out today to jnpert. I believe there were 22 books in the box to start with. Happy travels! :') ETA: I apologize...the box was a little heavier than I'd intended & thus the postage was higher than I'd expected. DC#: 0308 0660 0001 3746 0079

Journal Entry 24 by ladybug74 from Dothan, Alabama USA on Tuesday, March 30, 2010
Received the box today. Had a stressful morning dealing with a tough child custody case at work, so finding this box by the front door when I got home brightened my day a bit! I see a couple of really good books in the box that I already read (& recommend for others) and several others that I am considering. I will make my choices soon and get this box moving again.

Just received the box in the mail! Along with a box of some books I ordered from Borders (I know, mea culpa, but just couldn't resist two new releases from fave authors). So it's been a great morning! Going to call my sis, LGinder, and read her some titles to see if there is anything she's interested in but the box will be on its way back out soon. PM'ing now for the Sweetsangria's addy. I've personally found half a dozen I want to read so I'm tickled. Always get good books in this BookBox series. Thanks to indygo88 for hosting. May have to change out the box again though. It looks like USPS got bored and was playing with it. 5/26 Can't figure out how (on the new BC) to add a journal entry so I'm updating the original. Box mailed today to Sweetsangria Delivery receipt # 0309 3220 000 2548 2905 Sorry it took so long to get out. Kept working overtime and by the time I'd get off work the PO would be closed. And let's face it bookboxes don't fit in the mailbox! Thanks again for including me.

I'll likely do another round, but it'll be a while. As always, I seem to collect books faster than I can read them.... :')
