I enjoyed this book Opra recommended. A bit different for me.
About Dolores Price, a 13rd old, wise-mouthed, but wounded being forced to bid her childhood good bye. In her bedroom watching TV, she spends the next few years with the Mallomars, potato chips, and Pepsi that her anxious mother supplies her with. She goes into womenhood at 257lbs. Delores is not any stronger and life is no kinder. This time she is determined to rise to the occasion and give herself one more chance before really going under.
It is a tough book to read but good.
Oprah can pick the one that is hard to put down, that is for sure.
