This is about a woman's relationship with her mother. The author seemed to feel her relationship with her mother was strained and her mother was at fault. As an author telling the story from her own perspective, you would think she would be able to present this more if it was indeed present. From her own account though, her mother was a wonderful person, though not perfect. She made unintentional mistakes in how she handled a few things, but for the most part was caring and loving. I was glad to read that she felt a deep connection with her mother later in life.
