I look forward to reading this one!

Journal Entry 4 by gothrabbit on Saturday, April 10, 2010
This book was an interesting read. There are two sections of the book, one in ancient Korea, and one in modern times. I found the first part to be not as interesting as many of the Asian novels I have read by Asian writers, but the second part was a little more intriguing. It was a good read, although I am not sure if I would put it in my top 1001 books list.

I started the book tonight. I should finish it this weekend.

Journal Entry 8 by wingbooklady331wing at Cape Coral, Florida USA on Monday, April 25, 2011
I agree with gothrabbit. The first section of the book was tedious. I felt like giving up on the book. The book became more interesting at the time of the suitcase mix-up. I wouldn't put this on the 1001 list. I enjoyed The Imperial Woman by Pearl Buck much more. The book is going back to the 1001 library.
