This book was an interesting read. There are two sections of the book, one in ancient Korea, and one in modern times. I found the first part to be not as interesting as many of the Asian novels I have read by Asian writers, but the second part was a little more intriguing. It was a good read, although I am not sure if I would put it in my top 1001 books list.
Sending this book onto another library member to enjoy!
Thank you for sending me the book. It arrived today. I am looking forward to reading it.
I started the book tonight. I should finish it this weekend.
I agree with gothrabbit. The first section of the book was tedious. I felt like giving up on the book. The book became more interesting at the time of the suitcase mix-up. I wouldn't put this on the 1001 list. I enjoyed The Imperial Woman by Pearl Buck much more. The book is going back to the 1001 library.

Looking forward to reading this one from the 1001 Books List. Thank you for the RABCK Booklady331! The homemade bookmark is really nifty. I have been wanting to read this one for a while - will "return" it to the library promptly when I am done.

This wasn't chosen from Booklady331's ABC VBB, so it's available.
