What a lovely surprise, Tarna - thank you so much!! I received this wishlist book in our local BC-meeting tonight :)

This was a perfect book for a book addict - hilarious and witty! There were many quotes I felt I should re-read and write down, my absolute favourite can be found on page 21:
"What she was finding also was how one book led to another, doors kept opening wherever she turned and the days weren't long enough for the reading she wanted to do."
Although there weren't many pages in this book, it wasn't quick read, I felt like I should taste every single word of it, slowly and peacefully. Actually I think I would like to read this book again some day, but as I've seen it on so many wishlists, I'll let this book travel :)

Hooray! A wish list book found unexpectedly in the mailbox - this is as good as BookCrossing gets! Thank you for sharing, Tarna and lukutuoli, and for the effort to send it. I'm pretty sure I'm going to love this one.
Yes, I enjoyed this book hugely. Hilarious, with subtle bite, very British. I tried to slow down to taste it properly, but couldn't, and in the end just gobbled it up at one go. The ending is perfect, both surprising and inevitable, and leaves the reader with a long-lasting inner chuckle. At least, that's what happened to me.
I was impressed by the Queen's two different experiences of reading Ivy Compton-Burnett. Not having read her myself, I now wonder if I should, and which of Her Majesty's experiences would be closer to mine. And the book leads you to another, and another...
Thank you, lukutuoli, this was a real treat! I'll take this along to the next Helsinki meet and see if there's interest.

Everybody at the meeting said that this is a very good book and I must take it. So I did. Thanks!
All of you were right! This book is hilarious. I love this book! So far I am only half way through it. I still have something to enjoy.
