This is on its way to Greece as part of the Intercultural Virtual Book Box. Thanks for your patience - this book was a real Ballycumber. I was intrigued by the premise, and had started reading on two occasions, but only made it one-third of the way in. Then, I offered it in this VBB and gave it one more try, to finish. I am so glad I did! I hope you'll enjoy it, too!

Woo Hoo - a surprise book from the Intercultural Virtual BookBox!
I had a hunch that my selection would be another title (thinking along the lines of "The Namesake"...since it was a recent bestseller in N. America), and of course I was totally wrong.
Not only have I not read this novel, I've not yet read any work by this author. Really excited to have the opportunity to finally read something by Amitav Ghosh!!
**Thanks** so much, Shroffland!
