Journal Entry 1 by guinaveve from Mason, Ohio USA on Thursday, September 10, 2009
I usually don't read stories where children are the victims, I just can't take it emotionally. I didn't have much to choose from on the shelf and decided to give this a go even though it is about a kidnapped 6 year old. The book follows the girl's almost step mom as she looks for the child that she lost after looking away for just a moment. It is a captivating story that I couldn't wait to read until the end. I liked that Abby is a photographer as that is my passion and part time profession. The parallels drawn between photography and memory were so interesting and true to me.
