Book 2 in the No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency series

"Among her cases this time are wayward wives, unscrupulous maids, and the challenge to resolve a mother's pain for her son who is long lost on the African plains. Indeed, Mma Ramotswe's own impending marriage to the most gentlemanly of men, Mr J.L.B. Matekoni, the promotion of Mma's secretary to the dizzy heights of Assistant Detective, and the arrival of new members to the Matekoni family, all brew up the most humorous and charmingly entertaining of tales." www.fantasticfiction.co.uk

Thank you very much, made a very satisfactory thump on the mat!

Journal Entry 6 by nediamnori87 from St Andrews, Scotland United Kingdom on Sunday, September 20, 2009
I really enjoy these books as there is a nice simple story and the ideal read when you're not looking to get bogged down in something heavy to read. I have to admit the book made me feel good and both endings so far have made me smile to myself.
This book unlike the first only really focusses on two cases. I am looking forward to reading the third book in the series.

Thank you very much Bookowl1000 for sharing the books with me.

The book is now ready to be sent onto the next person as and when they have sent off the first.

Journal Entry 9 by YellowBow from Fleet , Hampshire United Kingdom on Sunday, December 27, 2009
Well, it was a quick reading since I was quite interested in Mma Ramotswe's carrer and love story with Mr J.L.B. Matekoni. This book is written in the same style as the previous one. who liked the first, sure will enjoy this one. I'd a great time! :)
Thabks for sharing :)

ps: I've agreed with Jonniboi that it will be sent in January, to avoid the rush of the holiday season

just recveived through the post today! I'm going to have to have a word with the postman, they've been taking ages getting to me, there must be a backlog or something, I'm missing quite a few if I'm honest!

Journal Entry 12 by JonniC from Birmingham, West Midlands United Kingdom on Monday, February 15, 2010
okay, so I've knocked a star off from the first book, but this book is not up to scratch compared with the first book. For some reason I did not enjoy the story when it went over to Mr J. L. B. Matekoni when he became the prominent main character in some chapters, I ended up being bored and I decided to do other things rather than reading the book, maybe it's just that I wasn't interested in cars and engineering, I hope I'm not the only one who thinks it was boring on these few cvhapters. Anyway, I enjoyed the whole context of the book and it was really really enjoyable, I cannot wait for the next book, bring it on!

Shall send out soon when I have a chance!

Sadly, wamstreet has passed away after an extended illness. A family member has contacted me due to a wish to pass on bookcrossing books. If the book is not found I will send out a replacement to sunfi.

This arrived in the mail today, I have a number of other rings ahead of this one but I'll get to it as soon as I can. I keep my profile updated on weekly basis so you can see how close this one is to the top. Thanks for sending this to me and including me in the ring.

Update:
25 Jul 10 - More than half way through this one, I hope this on its way back home by the end of the month. Thanks for letting me keep these a little longer.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

Please do not feel under pressure because I have sent you this book when you have not finished the previous one. It is not something that I would normally do, especially as the previous spiral got stalled by a person who was holding more than one book, it is just that I am moving to China so if I do not send it now it will be in a box for 3-4 months.

Happy reading.

Journal Entry 21 by wal-89 at Congleton, Cheshire United Kingdom on Saturday, July 2, 2011
Was surprised to find this book waiting for me when I got back from my holiday but am very much looking forward to reading the series :) The first one is next on my TBR ring books list and this one will be read shortly after that. Thanks for sending and good luck with the move :)

Journal Entry 22 by wal-89 at Congleton, Cheshire United Kingdom on Sunday, August 7, 2011
Still enjoying the series, but this book was not as good as the first one. It was a bit slower going and naturally there was a lot less background information about Mma Ramotswe because that was all set up in the first book. It was a quick read and I will still continue with the series. Thanks for letting me read the series.

Nice story, although some parts with lots about engineers were abit boring. Anyway, I still liked the relaxed African lifestyle which filled me when reading this book! Thanks for sharing! :)
