It is a paperback edition with 156 pages. Age: 7+

From its cover:
Lucy is a magic 'stardust spirit'. At night she flies to the woods to join her spirit friends. Now is the time that the young spirits must practise their special powers and Lucy's summer is about to get even more magical ...

Update: 2009.09.05.
It is the 2nd book in the series as I found out - after reading. But I think it can read in stand-alone book, at least I read it :)) I loved its cover, since it is so magical, sparkling, and this was the cause of my buying. oops. And I liked the story as well. Even if it is written for 7+ children. But as I read in "Tuesdays With Morrie" .. in ageing the good thing is, that I can be 7-year-old, and 25-year old, and any-year old anytime if I want, considering I has already lived to see this years. *grinning* Now I was 7 years old.

Update: 2009.09.26.
I reread the sorry... Its message somehow fits to my present period.
82. page: "... 'Make it get smaller', Xanthe prompted her.
Shrink, Lucy thougth. The fire began to die down. It was hard and took a lot of effort. If I had my star stone I bet this would be easier. The thought crossed Lucy's mind before she knew it. The flames flared upwards. Frustration filled Lucy. I can't do this, she thought. I need my star stone I can't do it on my own.
Whoosh!
The fire shot up in a towering column..."

83. page: ".. 'No,' Xanthe interrupted her. 'Lucy', she said gently, 'I've already told you. The star stones don't work miracles. You need to find to control yourself.' She sighed. 'Don't worry about it. You'll get there in the end. But when? Lucy wanted to shout."

Finally she in an important situation found her power, and without a star stone could solve a real fire. It is easy to write down, it is easy to use the words. But the real life is another thing...

I *must* believe in my own magic.
