Edit September 8, 2021: This was terrific, as one of his masterful Detroit crime thrillers. But I could only skim to end for time. I caught glimpses here and there of his character interactions, with unexpected dialogue and whatnot, that are the Elmore Leonard hallmarks. So this is a worthy read, for anybody who has the time for it, and who really likes this style. I currently have this ranked at #172 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.
