Purchased this a few months ago at a library book sale in a neighborhing town. It looked like a fun read.
Since I'm in the mood for something a bit different and something to make me chuckle, this looks like it has all the qualifications for my next read. =)~ ~ ~

I did not enjoy this book as much as I thought I would when I purchased it. I had high hopes as I started it but it slowly lost my interest and I found myself skimming. Time to make it available for other Bookcrossers to enjoy.

Arrived in the mail yesterday. Looks like a good read.
An OK read. A housekeeper writes about her experiences and other housekeepers' experiences in cleaning other people's homes. The author was a spy wannabe and used her "skills" to figure out her clients' unseen lives. I thought the book may have been funnier and I was expecting a little more "dirt" on her clients.

With the title "other's People's Dirt: a Housecleaner's Curious Adventure" I was expecting stories about the experiences Louise Rafkin had as a housecleaner. There were a few personal experiences shared in the novel, which was very disappointing since I was hoping for humorous insight into the life of a housecleaner. Instead, Rafkin spent much time in her novel describing her research on other cleaners. There are the cleaners who clean while scantily clad and those cleaners who work for large cleaning companies. There are cleaners who clean the homes of New Yorkers and the cleaner who only clean up after a crime scene. The novel was interesting with all kinds of insight into the profession of house cleaning that I was unaware of. However I was overall disappointed in the direction the author took in telling her curious adventures.

Thank you for sending this JennyC1230! Seems like such mixed reviews ... I hope I enjoy it!
I'd say I agree with the readers before me ... this was just an ok read. I had hoped it would be more interesting (some of it was interesting) but I also didn't really care for her research about other housecleaners. It was an easy read, but not one that made me want to hurry back to it!
TAG!! As promised, here is the book I tagged you with, hope you enjoy!
Received in the mail a couple of days ago. Thank you, Rhonder, for the tag! Not sure when I'll get this one read, as I have a huge list of TBR books I have promised to other people, but it is safe with me until then. Thanks again!
